Cadela Carlota & Companhia ' s Association
We are a non-governmental, non-profit association, whose creation has been financially supported by Nandi, a registered charity fund. Together with Nandi we share a great passion for animals. Our main aim is to diminish the suffering of animals, by all possible means. We share not only a passion, but also a philosophy of life, an idea of a better world where all animals will be respected. As Thomas A. Edison said: “Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages”.

Câmara signs protocol to save strays
Stray animals will no longer be put down at Lagos municipal kennel and cattery following the signing of a protocol on January 30 with local animal charity Associação Cadela Carlota & Companhia (ACCC).
ACCC will help to raise awareness about animal adoption at the municipal kennel as well as provide specialist care for stray animals.
Veterinary students in their final year at Évora University will also be helping with the initiative by carrying out the neutering operations and informing the public about its advantages.
Lagos municipal website will now have a link to the municipal kennel, with information about a different dog that is up for adoption each week.
